COMMISSIONS

It's a simple process, just follow the steps below. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and creating something amazing together!
Commission Process
Send me your reference photo
Simply email me a photo* of your chosen subject and let me know what sort of painting you envision. I will then confirm if the photo is suitable to work from and discuss your ideas for the commission further.

Confirm final details
Once we have agreed on size, composition, mood, price, procedure etc, I will send you an Agreement document detailing all aspects of the project that have been discussed. I require a 50% deposit to secure your place on my commission list. The remaining balance (plus Shipping cost) is then due on completion.

Then I start painting
After I receive your deposit I will start working on your commission. Time scales vary depending on size & detail which will been agreed in initial emails. Once completed I will email you a photo of the finished painting for you to approve. I will then send over an invoice to pay the remaining balance.
When the final payment has been received I will post the finished piece. Artwork will be sent recorded delivery of which I will provide you with the tracking number once shipped.

Deposit & payment
If you are not completely happy with the final completion photograph you are not obligated to buy it. However the 50% deposit remains non-refundable & you will not be sent any artwork.

Copyright
I retain the copyright on all the artwork produced by myself, Lucy Masters, including any artwork resulting from a commission. This also includes the right to use images of the artwork in promotional material and on my website & Social Media. You may not reproduce any piece of artwork or artwork print in any form without prior permission from me. You may, however, display commissioned artwork on social media (Facebook etc), but it must not be reproduced in any other form whatsoever.
*A quick note regarding copyright and reference photographs you provide - Please make sure that you hold the copyright on any photographs that you wish to use as reference material. If you do not own photographs, you must have permission from the copyright holder for the photograph/s to be used as the basis for your commission (this will form part of a signed agreement between us before a commission is undertaken).
